What Abbey Road Hospice Volunteers Do

There are three main categories of volunteer activity: Patient and Family Services; Office and Clerical Support; and Bereavement Services.

For instance, volunteers may:

• Work directly with patients and families, providing companionship and emotional support.
• Contribute important organizational support, participating in program activities and helping with events and celebrations.
• Help with bereavement, during which volunteers help families navigate the grief process during the first year of loss.
