May Up-date Home base care,

and Hospice (I.C.H.)

I wish I could give you a day to day up date and show you the smiles of each of the Patients when they see me and how God is working in there lifes. Many of them thought I would not return after my leaving.

It is such a joy to love on them and pray with them. On my last visits I was able to give out the Blankets I received from Abby road Hospice care in Irmo S.C.and some of the Bibs.

Charmaine is showing how it works.

Carol is so happy; she gave us a thumps up on this one. I just love her Spirit, always a smile on her face. I don’t know, when was the last time she was out of her room.

I think we also need to pray for a wheelchair   for her. We got 2 new Patients we need Wheelchairs for.

One is a 3 Year old with cerapalsy , that needs a special wheel chair.

We also gave her one of the Blankets. All the Blankets we gave away somehow always matched the color the Patients were wearing.

Jackson, my finding on the street’s last Year was so full of joy to see me and receiving a blanket. Please keep her in your prayers, she stared to drink again. No money or food or to stay warm, wasting the little bit she has on Alcohol. What a shame, that Satan can make them believe Alcohol will solve all their problems.

The next Patient we visit is blind and stays in just a small hut, sleeping on the grass mad.

She was crying when we gave her the Blanket, so grateful. She was hiding it in her scarf after we left.  As we were standing by the gate watching her, to see what she was doing, she was hiding the blanket. It is so sad, that a gift like this cannot be shared with your own Family, of fear they will take it way and sale it or use it for them self. Charmaine went and got her a mattress to sleep on.  I went to visit her the next day and she was so happy, saying “now I am sleeping like the Mulungu” a white person.

The other Patient who is in need of a Wheelchair is a 23 year old young Lady, I am not sure what her illness is but she is walking on all 4, she is not able to walk up right.

A big prayer request is, for the Children to have compaction on their own Parents and Grand Parents. The Parents are so old and week, so the Children or other relatives have to go for them to pick up their Pension and they use it or them self. A lot of our Potions don’t have any food at home because the Kids use it for themselves.

Samson is taking care of 8 in his home with his R 1000.00 and most of the time he is the one who is doing without Food. Last time I was able to have a talk with his Daughter and I ask her, is his pension the only income you all have? And she said yes, so don’t you think it would be wise or you to take care of your Dad, and to make sure he stays healthy? Because if he dies, his money will be also gone, then who will be taking care of you?

My heart is so heavy for this people this is just another evil in this area we need to pray against.

Samson also is now almost blind and has a hard time to get around.

With some of the Avocados I was able to get from Hosanna I will put a few Food packages together to take to the once who don’t have anything at all at home. It’s just a small drop in a big ocean. We truly need funding to help with some of the food. Water is the other problem and it looks like it’s getting worth and not better.

The other day on my way from Hazyview to Huntington I saw the Water Truck by the River, getting water out of the River, juke, juke. I thought the water that is coming with the water Truck is clean water; I was drinking it last time. I am glad God has given me good people with good advice to always boil my water, not to trust it. Thanks Andre.

By the time I turned around and went back, the other one was already gone.

Clean water is a big issue, pray, pray, pray. So we can get some funding for some bore holes, or for the Convergent to do something about it. We also need one on our new Stand for the Children.

Getting the food packages ready, also taking some snakes and some clean drinking water with me in the morning for the patients. All this is possible because of your prayers and your hearts of giving. Thank you for serving with me.

As you all can see, the Medical need is very big and I would like to invite you to prayerfully consider to come for a short term Mission trip and see how you best can help and show God’s love.

Also non medical, come and love on the Children, do crafts and games or if you like to teach a VBS?  There is so much we can do to serve.

But also, come and see the beauty of South Africa.  See the Animals in Kruger national park, which is only a stone’s trough away.

This are some Photos from my last trip to the K.N.P. and from the Country side in this area. I love Asheville and our Mountains, but somehow I think God has spent a little more time here in South Africa.

“Do not doubt in your heart”, (Mark 11:24)

“All thinks are possible with God”, (Mark 10:27)

He is the Father to the fatherless, Ps. 68:5

Thank you again for serving with me and to be God’s hands and feet. May His grace shine up on you and bless you.
